Nexus mods download speed slow

Since 2007, Nexus Mods has had a download speed cap of 1MB a second on all downloads unless the user is a Premium Member.Starting this week, this download speed cap has been increased to 2MB a second if certain criteria are met.

I went to nexus to get a few but I have been having issues with both the mod manager and the manual DLs. -NMM: refuses to download files most of the time. slow log in. on the ocaision it does decide to download it is moving at 6kb/sec (slow). -Manual: works some of the time but is also really slow or unresponsive. The site itself for me has been slow, been doing a mod update session today. Downloads however seemed to be fine for me but then my download is only max 3mbps so I only get about 340KB/s. (As a side note makes premium pointless for me since my max speed is around 1/3rd of the free servers lol). Trying to download Vampire Antitribu here. I have a 30mpbs line, no problem with other sites or downloads, everyting downloads at 3.0mbp/s except on moddb wich is 10/20 kb/s. I tried all mirrors. Anyone else having this issue? I would really aprecciate feedback since this file is 1.2gb How annoying can the nexus be ?? really download cap free or premium then another 5 sec wait then no download.. Apparently bugging users with the "your download speed capped" wasn't enough for them, now we have a full-fledged file-sharing-site-like "Slow download/fast download" nag screen for every download. I have 3 computers, 2 of them for games. I CANNOT download Skyrim mods from Nexusslow and slower. Just getting on to the site takes forever, and once on it takes forever to navigate. I made a stupid comment on a mod that I never should have made and then appealed the ban. They denied it but it's starting to feel like a bit of an over reaction. I was a generally good Nexus user, never insulting people or picking fights, but this one comment got me banned? If anyone has issue with slow download?
