EDIT: Okay, I have installed VMware Workstation, started the VM and reinstalled VMware Tools, but the "wddm_video" folder still doesn't show up. Is there maybe another version especially for XP that you can download separately? There is no VMware SVGA 3D (WDDM) Driver for Windows XP.

After that I reinstalled and installed the VMWare Tools again - just like russcusimano described. It works perfect. No windows licence trouble, all was fine.
